Andrew Ondrejcak’s Landscape with Figures at the CAC

Landscape with Figures (a re-conception of Elijah Green, presented at The Kitchen in 2016) is like a contemporary version of a Brueghel painting that focuses on the interconnectivity and relationship between the lives of the unrelated.

Despite unremarkable existences, the characters’ stories and journeys layer into a portrait of the interconnectivity of all humans, with each individual both the center of the world and part of something they cannot comprehend. The piece will be reconceptualized and use all local performers, living in or near New Orleans.
